Water

A Prime Necessity
Without air, our lungs cannot breathe. With no water, our cells can't breathe. Without a reasonable supply of good quality water, life will end - quickly. Human life is TOTALLY dependant upon water, the universal solvent.
Quality Issues
All across the land, alarm bells are ringing. In many areas, our water quality is dropping like a brick. Anyone seeing an analysis or demonstration of the poor quality of tap water usually stops drinking it. Many say tap water is, quite simply, filthy.
What Kind Of Water To Drink?
The best water for the human physiology is water that comes from a good quality Reverse Osmosis System. In order for this system to be complete and functional, there must be at least:
a). A Sediment Pre-Filter (to remove the boulders)
b). A Charcoal Filter (to remove chlorine & odors)
c). An R.O. Membrane Filter to remove the particulate matter.
R.O. Water is truly clean, usually removing over 98% of the junk. It also has the benefit of remaining balanced in the process of purification.
Which Water Not To Drink
Tap Water: Enough Said.
Spring Water or Well Water: They come out of the ground. It is VERY difficult to find ground water that's not been polluted. To the extent that the water we drink is polluted, it is a poison to the human body. Human biosystems are becoming more toxic daily. Most toxins in our bodies are in an acid form. Our highly intelligent nervous system audits the ratio between the acid and the alkaline particles in our blood. It knows this very important ratio MUST be kept in balance. Those acid particles that are inorganic toxins are not available to the human biosystem to do the body's necessary and important work. (Can you say entropy?)
Softened Water: Many homes have a softening system installed. This may be a good idea for your washing machine, dishwasher, and plumbing fixtures. It's a real BAD idea for your body. Water softening is accomplished via a process of ion exchange. Which takes the water way out of balance. For those with heart problems, softened water can be a very serious health concern. If you have a soft water system, check to be sure that the tap for your drinking water has been taken off prior to the softener!
Rain Water: During the early part of a rain shower, the rain water is quite literally cleansing the air by picking up the dirt and carrying it down to the ground. Seen any clean air lately?
Distilled Water: The process of distillation - if done properly - purifies the water. The problem is that this process leaves the water very much out of balance, ionically. Distilled Water pulls lots of minerals out of the human body as it passes through it. The bad news is that while it's pulling out the BAD minerals, it's pulling out the GOOD ones, too.
Any person wanting to drink Distilled Water would be well-advised to see a physician who practices Applied Kinesiology (AK) to be given the proper mineral-set replacement. There are a number of reasons that just grabbing any old mineral supplement isn't a good idea. The most important one is due to the fact that the minerals which leave an alkaline ash when burnt strengthen the parasympathetic nervous system. And, those which leave an acid ash when burnt boost the sympathetic nervous system. It is a VERY bad idea to cause an imbalance between these two systems.
How Much Water To Drink?
Pure water hydrates the human body. The amount of pure water required by one's body will vary depending upon a great many things. As a general rule, 6 to 8 glasses per day is considered a good normal goal.
It is wise to become sensitive to your body's thirst-alarm. Once a body is accustomed to having enough good clean (pure) water each day, the inner intelligence will speak to thirst reliably. One will simply become thirsty at the appropriate times. Water taken away from food is best for cleansing our bodies.
Water That's Not Water
Coffee is not water. Tea is not water. Soda-pop is not water. They all dehydrate the body, to one extent or another. Pure water is water, and your body knows the difference.
Dehydration
. . . is the Number One cause of constipation. The Number Two cause of constipation is what we call Kidney Hyper Drive. This is where the kidney just gets set way too high, and it continues to wring water out of the body. This can be the result of toxic kidneys. It can be caused by the adrenal glands going into alarm due to stress overload. Or, it can be caused by fear or anxiety, emotions which reside in the kidneys. An AK clinician can usually treat this successfully.
Is Anything Good, Added To Water?
It's helpful to squeeze a small wedge of fresh lemon or lime into a glass of good clean water - just enough to taste. That works out to be a quarter of a small lemon or one-sixth of a larger lemon, per 8 to 10 ounce glass of water. This will help quench thirst, help acid/base balance, and add hydrogen ions to raise negative ion volume in the body. It also helps to cut grease within. Drink Up.
